Our Ridgid band saw was one of our most useful tools, but now it's forever broken. Erin thinks we'd be better off buying a 17" band saw in the 2hp range. She and I discussed whether we could afford that. Her hypothesis is that we could buy one with the hackerspace covering $650 (the cost of a 14" band saw, and members making up the difference. )

Authorise the Board of Directors reimburse member Erin Scanlon $650 toward the purchase of a wood-cutting band saw, 17" or larger, with a 2hp or greater motor. Erin is responsible for raising the additional capital to make this purchase happen. Additionally, the BoD is authorized to purchase up to $100 in blades for the new band saw, at Erin's suggestion, barring conflicts of interest.

She and I discussed whether we could afford that. Her hypothesis is that we could buy one with the hackerspace covering $650 (the cost of a 14" band saw, and members making up the difference. )
