This is a guide to how we soundproofed our space at Bubbly Dynamics.

Shopping List

Numbers are based on an estimate of 30' of wall.

  • Drywall screws

Steps

1. Cut insulation to 8' lengths

2. Install insulation

• • cut insulation away from outlets 3"

3. Install resilient channel

• • horizontally along the ground, open edge up
  • horizontally every 2' above that
  • 5 layers of channel total, at 0', 2', 4', 6', and 8'

4. Attach drywall to channel
